Peace and Blessings, beloveds.

September marked a deeply meaningful milestone in my journey: I completed my Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Medicine. Seeing the word “Doctor” attached to my name is still settling into my spirit and not because the title suddenly changes who I am, but because it represents years of study, nursing, herbal practice, midwifery, teaching, writing, questioning, and continuing to grow into the work I have been called to do.

The degree is not the beginning of this work, and it is certainly not the end of it. It is another layer of responsibility: to keep learning, to keep honoring the wisdom that came before me, and to keep building bridges between traditional healing knowledge and the practical realities of modern wellness care.

Two New Books, Two Different Invitations

Root & Recalibrate: Clearing the Gut, Lymph and Spirit for Sustainable Balance is an invitation to pause, reset, and examine what we are carrying physically, emotionally, spiritually, and habitually. The 21-day experience is not rooted in deprivation or punishment. It is about creating enough space to notice what nourishes you, what drains you, and what needs to be recalibrated so that wellness becomes something you can actually live.

Recipe & Ritual: Nourishing the Body Through Food, Rhythm and Sacred Preparation takes a different approach. It brings herbal wellness into everyday life through practical preparations, recipes, and intentional rituals. I wanted to create something that helps people move from simply reading about plant medicine to developing a personal, consistent relationship with it—one cup, one preparation, one practice at a time.

Both books come from the same core belief that guides Mystic Momma Herbals: healing is not just about treating symptoms. It is about restoring relationship with the body, with plants, with ancestral knowledge, with community, and with ourselves.

The Work Is Expanding

This season has reminded me that growth does not always arrive quietly. Sometimes it comes as a graduation. Sometimes it comes as a new book. Sometimes it looks like teaching, speaking, mentoring, building curriculum, sitting with a client, or returning to the page with a new idea that refuses to leave you alone.

My work continues through Mystic Momma Herbals, my teaching and educational programs, my role in herbal education, my writing, and the ongoing integration of traditional wisdom with evidence-informed holistic care. I remain especially committed to reproductive wellness, hormone health, womb-centered care, herbal medicine, and creating educational spaces where ancestral knowledge is treated with depth, respect, and context.

And there is more coming. More writing. More teaching. More conversations. More opportunities to bring culturally rooted holistic health education into spaces where it is needed and deserved.

A Moment of Gratitude

No milestone is reached alone. I carry the teachings of elders, mentors, teachers, clients, students, family, community, and every person who has trusted me enough to learn from me or allow me to walk beside them in their own wellness journey. I am deeply grateful for the people who have supported Mystic Momma Herbals, purchased my books, taken my classes, attended my lectures, shared my work, and encouraged me to keep going.

So yes—September changed my name. But October, and everything that follows, is about expanding the work.

And I am just getting started.
